The DX482 Digital is a two way radio from Entel. Built to IP68 standard the DX482 has a limited Ingres protection against dust, whilst also being able to withstand jets of water from all angles. The DX482 is built to Military Standards (MIL-STD-810 C/D/E/F/) meaning that it is both rugged and reliable, with the radio being put through a variety of tests to ensure its functioning in differing working environments.
A channel capacity of 16 allows for sufficient communications between a team, with a channel scanning function coming as an optional extra. Another optional extra that can be purchased is Lone Worker, this monitors activity levels from the radio with a warning being sent out should a pre-set time limit be hit with no movement. Man down works similarly, whereby if a radio is laid on its side for an amount of time then a warning will also be sent to connected radios.
The Entel DX482 comes as standard with a 2000mAh Li-Ion battery, allowing for extended usage time more than capable of covering shift work. A local personal attack alarm is a pre-installed feature for the HX482, emitting a high pitched siren and sending a local call for assistance to other connected radios. A programmable scrambler is also present on the radio, allowing you to encrypt your voice and protecting against casual eavesdropping.
Entel DX482 is a Digital Hand Held Radio that can be programmed as Analogue.
